Het is een uitleg gelijk aan ander, maar ik hoop dat hij duidelijk genoeg is om een (deels) bedreigde diersoort uit de nood te helpen.

Print het patroon uit.
Print the pattern.
1. Doe op de achterzijde van het patroon, in de 4 hoeken van het blad, wat lijm en kleef het patroon op het blad gekleurd papier.
1. Put some glue on the back of the pattern, in the 4 corners of the sheet, and stick it on the sheet of colored paper.
2. Knip het patroon uit.
2. Cut the pattern.
3. Zet een 1 in het hoofd, en een 2-3 in de vleugels. Knip de onderdelen van elkaar. Gooi het buikgedeelte weg.
3. Put a 1 in the head, and a 2-3 in the wings. Cut in pieces. Throw the belly away.
4. Zoek een mooie print in het magazine. Check of beide vleugels hier in passen. Knip rond de vleugels de print uit (hier met een stippellijn aangegeven).
4. Find a nice print in the magazine. Make sure that both wings will fit in the print. Cut around the wings (here indicated with a dotted line).
5. Draai de print om. Doe lijm op de kanten van het patroon, waar het cijfer op staat. Kleef het patroon van de vleugel op de achterzijde van de print.
5. Turn the print around. Put glue on the sides of the pattern were the numbers are. Stick the pattern of the wing on the back of the print.
6. Knip de vleugels netjes uit.
6. Cut the wings.
7. Herhaal stap 4 tot 6 voor het hoofd.
7. Repeat step 4 to 6 for the head.
8. Kies hoe je de vleugels wilt. Kleef deze zo op het gekleurde lijf.
8. Decide how you want the wings. Stick them on the colored body.
9. Neem een stukje wit papier en vouw dit dubbel.
9. Take a piece of white paper and fold it.
10. Teken de dop van de lijmstick over.
10. Copy the shape of the gluestick on it.
11. Knip uit. Je hebt nu 2 identieke rondjes voor de ogen. Let er op dat de kant waar je de lijntjes nog op ziet, later de achterzijde is.
11. Cut out. Now you have 2 identical circles for the eyes. Note that the side where you see the lines, will be the back.
12. Zoek een laatste print in het magzine. Teken de dop van de lijmstick op de achterzijde over. Knip uit.
12. Search one last print in the magzine. Copy the shape of the gluestick on the back. Cut out.
13. Vouw deze cirkel dubbel. Knip door op de vouwlijn.
13. Fold this circle. Cut in parts (use the folding line).
14. Knip nog 2 zwarte rondjes uit magazine papier. Nu heb je alles voor de ogen. Kleef alle onderdelen op elkaar. Lijm de ogen op het hoofd.
14. Cut 2 black circles from magazine paper. Now you have everything for the eyes. Glue all parts to each other. Stick the eyes on the head.
15. Knip een driehoekje uit magazine papier. Dit is de snavel. Kleef de snavel net onder het hoofd.
15. Cut a triangle from magazine paper. This is the beak. Glue the beak just below the head.
De poten ~ The Legs
16. Draai de chenillendraad 2 keer rond een vinger.
16. Turn the thread 2 times around a finger.
17. Haal de draad van de vinger en duw plat, zoals op de foto. Je hebt nu een lus.
17. Pull the thread of the finger en push it flat (see picture). You now have a loup.
18. Haal de draad 2 keer doorheen de lus en trek goed aan.
18. Put the thread 2 times through the loup en pull it very tight.
19. Knip de draad af.
19. Cut the thread.
20. Knip de lus door. Herhaal stap 16 tot 20, zodat je 2 poten hebt.
20. Cut the loup. Repeat step 16-20, so you end up with 2 legs.
21. Niet de poten aan het lijf.
21. Staple the legs to the body.
