Benodigdheden:
- Shrink-it papier (in knutselzaken en aanverwanten te koop) / Shrink-it paper (Craft store)
- Optioneel: stukje schuurpapier / If needed: sanding paper
- Permanente marker / Permanent marker
- Kleurpotloden / Color pencils
- Schaar / Scissors
- Perforator / Punch machine
- Oven / Oven
- Brochespeld of sleutelhanger / Brooch pin or key holder
- Lijmpistool / Glue gun
Kort, koddig en klaar voor je het weet.
Verwarm de oven voor zoals aangegeven op het pak Shrink-it papier. Dit varieert van merk tot merk.
Neem een A4 Shrink-it papier uit het pak. Als dit 2 blinkende kanten heeft, dan schuur je eerst zacht 1 kant op met het schuurpapier, zodat de kleurpotloden er later grip op krijgen. Als je het betere Shrink-it papier in huis hebt gehaald, dan is er een matte en blinkende slash gladde kant.
De matte kant is je werkoppervlak. Teken op de geschuurde, of matte, kant je hand over met een permanente stift. Neem vervolgens een ovale vorm over rond het hand (ik gebruikte een mal). Gebruik hiervoor het kleurpotlood dat je wilt gebruiken voor de achtergrond in te kleuren, zo voorkom je later dat je in de problemen raakt met kniplijnen. Kleur eerst het hand en nadien de achtergrond.
Knip het ovaal uit. Draai het werk om en schrijf indien gewenst een boodschap in of rond het hand OP DE GLADDE KANT (anders krijg je de boodschap in spiegelschrift te zien).
Perforeer het ovaal bovenaan indien je een sleutelhanger wilt maken.
Plaats je werkje met de gekleurde kant naar benden in de oven en zie waar een Shrink-it voor gemaakt is: je werkt wordt 3x zo klein! Mocht de Shrink-it aan elkaar gaan kleven tijdens het krimpproces, dan haal je dit snel-snel uit de oven, maak de stukken van elkaar los, zwier het terug in de warmte en laat het verder krimpen. Nota: Ik ben niet verantwoordelijk voor brandwonden.
Afwerken zoals je wenst: een brochespeld op de achterzijde (=matte kant) kleven of een sleutelhanger door het gekrompen perforatiegat steken. Strikje, bloempje, versiering, … et vous avez terminé!
Preheat the oven as directed on the package Shrink-it paper. This varies from brand to brand.
Take an A4 Shrink-it paper from the pack. If this has two shiny sides, soften one side with the sandpaper. This makes sure the color pencils will get a grip on it. If you got the better Shrink-it paper there already will be a soften, frosted and shiny, smooth side.
The frosted side is your work surface. Draw on the sanded or frosted side, over your hand with a permanent marker. Take an oval shape around the hand (I used a mold). Use the color pencils you want to use for the background colors, so you will avoid later getting in trouble with cutting lines. Color the hand first and then the background.
Cut out the oval. Turn the work and write a message (if desired) in or around the hand onto the smooth side (otherwise you will see the message in mirror writing).
Punch the oval top if you want a key holder.
Place your image with the colored side down in the oven and see where Shrink-it is made for: your work will shrink 3x smaller! If the Shrink-it from would stick together during the crimping process, then take it quickly out of the oven, pull the pieces apart, swings it back into the heat and let it shrink further. Note: I am not responsible for burns.
Finishing as you wish: a brooch pin on the back (= frosted) stick or a key holder through the shrunk perforation hole shrunk. Bow, flower, decoration, … You ‘re done!
Nu weet ik ook dat er scheetjes in de klas zitten.
